Enterprises University of Pretoria bestows award to dedicated educator at EduWeek Awards 2016

Enterprises University of Pretoria (Enterprises UP) bestowed an award to a deserving educator dedicated to making a difference in education on Wednesday, 29 June 2016 at the second EduWeek Awards as part of the annual EduWeek celebrations at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand.

Celebrating excellence across the African education ecosystem, the Awards celebrate leading teachers, suppliers, institutions and education professionals – from the most innovative and life-changing products and services, to local heroes who go above and beyond – all of whom assist their communities and those who form part of it.

Enterprises UP found it befitting to sponsor the Educator Who Cares award as it is strongly aligned to our values and ethos, as well as our strong belief that leaders in schools play a central role in moulding the continent’s leaders of tomorrow.

The award was bestowed to Mr Sehoole Moses Sello, principal of Mankuroane Technical and Commercial Secondary in the North West, recognising an educator and leader who shows care and concern for the holistic development of his learners and who always goes the extra mile to ensure they develop into confident and independent human beings.

Enterprises UP would like to congratulate Mr Sello and all the finalists who were nominated for on the night. We celebrate all your achievements and success. “Good leaders identify potential and they allow people to excel in what they are good at,” he states. He encouraged the delegates to return to their companies to put their learning into practice.

Speaking on behalf of the delegates, Njabule Nsele expressed how valuable attending the RMDP had been for all of them. Many delegates have since received promotions and/or have managed to implement operational solutions which have improved organisations performance at their respective companies. The RMDP 2016 was also launched on the day, with the new delegates expressing excitement at the prospects of improving their skills and bringing change to the Wholesale and Retail Sector, as well as their companies.
