Data Science Programme Lead
A consultancy specialising in AI and applications, with a primary focus on helping enterprise clients extract business value by implementing AI solutions and maximising a desired return on investment, is in the market for a data science programme lead. The role involves creating and managing stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers for efficient data processing and generating financial data required for revenue services and financial authorities.
Responsibilities:- Proven experience in managing and coordinating projects
- Assist the data science lead in coordinating the activities of the data science team, ensuring that projects are on track and deadlines are met
- Oversee the allocation and progress of tasks within the team, ensuring that each team member is effectively contributing to project goals
- Provide administrative and logistical support for ongoing projects, including meeting preparation, documentation, and follow-up on action items
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on project status, team performance, and any potential risks or issues that may arise
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of project execution within the data science lab
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications and experience:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Ten years of experience in a similar role within a data science, analytics, or technology-focused environment. Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry is a plus
- A solid understanding of data analytics and familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, or R is beneficial
- Experience and keen interest in machine learning, large language models (LLMs), and generative AI
