Payroll/Accounting/Stock Management Specialist

Our client is seeking a payroll, accounting, and stock management specialist who will be responsible for overseeing and executing all payroll functions for employees across the company's branches, including individual retail locations and the head office.

This role involves optimising payroll processes, ensuring efficient management, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Additionally, the specialist will manage all accounting operations using dedicated software and oversee stock management across all business locations to maintain accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Payroll management

  • Administer and process payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Streamline payroll processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Implement strategies to reduce payroll-related costs.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations in South Africa.

Accounting functions

  • Perform all accounting tasks using designated software.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Stock management

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across all business locations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manage procurement processes.
  • Implement stock control procedures to minimise waste and reduce costs.

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in payroll administration, accounting, and stock management.
  • Industry experience in the food and beverage sector is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
