A registered financial service provider with a dynamic and innovative team is seeking a data scientist to plan, build, optimise, and implement advanced analytical methodologies and models.
Responsibilities:
- Data analysis: Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.
- Model development: Develop and implement predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques.
- Data exploration: Explore and preprocess data to ensure quality, completeness, and suitability for analysis.
- Hypothesis testing: Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and measure the impact of business initiatives.
- Visualisation: Create compelling data visualisations and dashboards to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
- A/B testing: Design and analyse A/B tests to optimise product features, user experiences, and marketing campaigns.
- Degree: In data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- Experience: At least five years of experience in data analysis and predictive modelling.
- Skills: Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation and analysis, knowledge of machine learning algorithms, and statistical techniques.
- Tools: Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau), and proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Bonus: Knowledge of big data technologies and distributed computing (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is advantageous.
