The South African Heavy Haul Association (SAHHA) is the only association that provides a platform for promoting Heavy Haul excellence in South Africa and serves as a channel for sharing global best practices.
As SAHHA prepares to host its biennial conference from the 26th to 29th of August 2024, under the Theme: "Positioning Heavy Haul for Success - from Pit to Port”, the association invites industry professionals, stakeholders, and media representatives to join them in shaping the future of Heavy Haul logistics in South Africa.
Plenary of Day 1 is about building the foundation for successful implementation of the rail reform. This will include a progress update on the implementation of the National Freight Logistics Roadmap. Day 2 plenary session will unpack some of the major challenges and opportunities facing the Freight logistics industry with an attempt to find solutions, leveraging on local and global best practice. Day 3 will consist of Think Tank sessions delivered in the form of panel discussions, aimed at promoting collaboration and partnership in shaping the future of Heavy Haul. As tradition, technical papers will be presented. In addition, a technical workshop will be held on the day before the main conference, with the theme: From Cradle to Grave - Fundamentals of Heavy Haul Railway Asset Management.
