Career Summary
My last position was with Nashua Ltd as the General Manager for Sales across all product. Corporate and Public sector are the main areas of focus as well as tender within the Office Automation (MFP), Smart Solutions (Interactive Displays, Biometrics, Surveillance etc.), Printers, Software Solutions, Telecommunication Solutions, VoIP, Connectivity. I full P&L responsibility and form part of the Executive team with a National Sales Team reporting into me across all lines of business. I dealt with all suppliers and vendor relations and was responsible for pricing and profitability across all lines of business. Dealt with Corporate, Public Enterprise sectors and later established an Education GTM. We used our own in-house financing for all rental agreements.
My previous position was with Sharp Middle East FZE as the General Manager for SA and Southern Africa. I had to develop the base from zero and setup channels and establish the correct staff to gain momentum to compete within the MFP and Display business within the region. I was tasked with full P&L duties included all aspects of the business from Logistics, Technical, Sales, Finance and Support. I grew the business to $2.5M USD per month achieving revenue and profit KPI's each fiscal and strengthened the technical and support footprint within the region and neighboring territories. I held all vendor and supplier relations and made all product decisions around country. Put together a distributor channel with partner programs and direct importers within other territories. All rental financing was done thru the distribution channel and a finance house out of MEA.
Before this I worked at LG Electronics SA as the General Manager of IT/ B2B division again creating a go to market opportunity and establishing solid business opportunities including Retail, Channel and Distribution. I grew the business from a R3M base to a R47M stream within the period I was employed and positioned LG as the no1 PC Monitor brand amongst OEM's in SA. I had a total of 17 direct reports again in various roles. I was totally responsible for all supplier and vendor relations together with product positioning, pricing and profitability.
Another was with Axiz, now AxizWorkgroup as a Category Manager heading up the Components Division which included Microsoft, Intel, LG, Samsung, Hynix, Kingston, Targus, Genius with 9 Product Managers reporting into me ranging in seniority and produced revenues of R20M~R30M. I held direct supplier relationships with HP, Samsung, Hynix, Acer, Microsoft, Canon, Brother, Dell and made decisions around product mix, positions, lifecycles, pricing and profitability thereof.
All above positions above was at Executive level of which I sat in on EXCO and MANCO.
Before then I was with a Company called Blick SA, then became Stanley Security Solution and now EOH. I was the National Technical Manager with 93 direct reports responsible for all the repair Centre's and field service personal as well as the Call Centre's. I nationalized the operation and took on a task of Group Product Manager.
