In November 2018 I completed my National Diploma in Public Relations and Communication and recently obtained a Certificate in Digital Marketing. This has given me a range of practical capabilities that will meet the needs of this role.
While completing my studies in Public Relations and Communication I worked part-time as a Student Assistant for UJ Community Engagement ABP Office. My responsibilities in this role included providing face-to-face recruitment, data capturing, report writing, article writing, campaign and event coordinator. This position has given me key employability skills while also allowing me to experience working in a professional and fast-paced work environment.
2019, worked for MES NPO for 8 months as a Fundraiser, Marketing and Campaign Strategist. My responsibilities in this role included Fundraising for the organisation, writing proposals and reports, event planning, data capturing, conducting sites visit with clients, conducting donor care, building and maintaining relationship between the organisation and its clients, recruiting new donors, managing social media, creating and curating social media content and newsletter content.
After MES NPO I started with Gijima as a PR and copywriter trainee till-date. My responsibilities in this role include: Writing high-engagement social media content that reflects the brand's voice, collaborate with Marketing, PR and Customer Experience to develop a variety of content marketing materials, produce error-free content that adheres to the company's style guidelines, interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts, simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines, propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to business leaders, generating creative ideas to build innovative campaigns, studying the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services, preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders' reports, for internal and external audiences and
updating and maintaining Web content.
