This career opportunity has sparked my enthusiasm to apply to become your Journalist / News Editor.
My various Journalism qualifications include the required National Diploma Journalism received from Durban University of Technology in 1997 and an Essentials of Managing a Community Newspaper NQF Level 6 Certificate attained from Rhodes University in 2013.
Since debuting as a Journalist at City Press in 1997 I have not looked back and have accumulated more than 12 years in the newspaper industry which include about 10 years as a Publishing Editor at Ngoho Print and Digital News. .
This means I have the minimum 8 years' experience in mainstream journalism, with a proven track record in hard news gathering and digital newsroom experience.
As required I have suitable experience managing a news desk / team of reporters. My good talent for writing and copy tasting abilities is augmented by my advanced awareness of the media law and current trends.
