Having been diagnosed with ADHD at the ripe old age of 51 explains my profile below.
The 2 common threads that have woven their way through my adult life is my passion for technology and my forensic ability to analyse data and find solutions to problems.
It is paradoxical that I am incapable of doing the same repetitive tasks day after day, yet give me a challenge to find how someone has "cooked" the books or why a website has crashed I will spend days and nights totally engrossed.
My forensic journey started with my initial careers in Medical, Veterinary and Textile laboratory work.
Discovering computers in 1986, combined with studies in accountancy led me in new directions which have fuelled my passion for technology. I have been fortunate to have been given opportunities to set up accounting and administration systems for a construction company, a host of small businesses, a large property management company and owning my own Computer Training business where I specialised in Pastel Accounting and Payroll.
Over the last 10 years I have increased my technology skills to include design and graphics programmes and web design using Joomla and Wordpress and integrating Moodle on-line training. I am not a programmer but I can find my way around html and php pages to scout out errors.
I have embraced Social Media and use it extensively especially loving the use of Smart Phones and Tablets which make life so much easier.
Having worked hard on developing my people skills through intensive coaching I have great patience with my clients as I guide them through the mysteries of technology and removing their fears.
Throw in a love for writing and expressing my opinions on anything and everything completes who I am.
