Over the past twenty plus years, I have gained local and international experience as a media member and as communications consultant servicing clients in the financial services, technology/ICT, mining and energy, manufacturing, agriculture and retail/FMCG sectors, with an increasing focus on corporate governance and sustainability over recent years.

My marketing experience includes traditional business communications, stakeholder (incl. investor) relations, crisis management, media training, and increasingly, new-media management to clients in the blue-chip multinational, SME, government and NGO sectors. I am an expert strategist and writer, deriving pleasure from building relationships and bridges between my own team, clients, the media and stakeholder communities or online tribes.

As freelancer the past year and a half, I launched and run an inaugural national SME competition, devised communications strategies for the NPA, SAPS and ABSIP (BBC), partnered with various agencies on pitch, strategy, writing and media relations, was contributing editor to the quarterly Green Business Journal and bi-monthly Beyond Sustainability publications and contracted technical writer to the CSIR's National Cleaner Production Centre-SA. Besides these, I represent retainer clients in the sustainability space.

I thrive in a flexible working environment, gladly putting in extra time to ensure the success of passion projects. Multi-tasking, project management, delegation, tenacity and negotiation skills are a given, both on team and individual service platforms.
