was at PE Technikon which became Nelson Mandela University's George Campus for nearly 22 years.
I relocated to Cape Town after family bereavements.
I am currently a Data Analyst doing Software Asset Management.
I have more than 15 years experience in managing Audio-Visual teams and Video Conferencing.

I have experience as an IT Manager, Operations Manager and Project Manager.
I have very good IT skills.
I worked my way up from Technician to Senior Manager.
I was a member of Campus Management and I have acted as Operations Director over Support Services portfolio. I was a member of IT Senior Management.

I obtained my matric with University exemption in 1980.
NMMU gave me recognition for experience and prior learning and allowed me to register for a Post Graduate Diploma in GIS which I was unable to complete due to working on my own. NMMU later cancelled the offering of the PostGrad Diploma in GIS.

I am self-motivated and able to work alone and as part of/leading a team.
I have managed a team of up to 4 people plus help desk staff and managed remote staff at other campuses in my role as Senior manager.
I am passionate about excellent service delivery and ITIL/COBIT principles.
I hold an ITIL Foundation certificate.
I have experience in coaching, mentoring and performance managing staff and I am certified as a job evaluator through De Loitte.

I have worked with large teams of technical, electrical, ICT, telecommunications and outsourced contractors and role players. I have experience in budgeting for entire Campus ICT/Media budgets and for projects and capital expenditure improvements.
I have a passion for project management and enjoy managing projects and am certified on Microsoft Project.
