    Time for a change?

I came across this opinion piece by the M&G ed abut the lack of black writers on glossy magazines. I'm also beginning to question this - surely if newspapers can get it together, magazines can?

black writers on "black" magazines don't really count - i'm as likely to buy true love as i am to buy fair lady, so why the dearth?

i often take a squiz at the editorial teams- and the first (distinctly) black name often is sitting as a PA or intern - i have recenty seen junior writers and editorial assistants - but is a true reflection of the talent available? (leaving aside the belief that black people have distinctly black names- whole other discussion)

    Industry thoughts?
