The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince CaspianPrince Caspian is the second instalment from The Chronicles of Narnia following on from The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. This time we find the Pevensie children, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy summoned back into the magical Narnian world 1 300 years after they had left it even though only a year has passed back in the real world. ![]() Once back in Narnia they have to battle to free the Narnia's who have gone into hiding from the Telmarine race who have taken over Narnia. Along the way they meet Prince Caspian (played by a very pretty but strangely accented Ben Barnes), a young Telmarine prince who is fleeing from Miraz, his cruel uncle who wants to kill Caspian so that his newly born son can be heir to the throne. Together the four children, Prince Caspian and some interesting Narnian characters put an army together in which to try and overthrow the oppressive Telemarine rein. This movie is a lot darker and moodier then the first and is ultimately entertaining but there are too many drawn out battle scenes and I feel it could have ended a good 20 minutes earlier. The main let down is the acting by the four main characters, often it feels a little flat and they don't seem to do justice to the action packed story line and dramatic cinematography and CGI.
