Job summary:

The junior photographer / graphic designer will be responsible for creating visual content across multiple platforms, focusing on photography, graphic design, and photo editing. This individual will collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to produce high-quality images, designs, and multimedia content that align with the company’s branding and objectives.

Key responsibilities:

Photography:
  • Capture high-quality images for marketing campaigns, social media, websites, and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate and execute photoshoots, ensuring lighting, composition, and focus align with creative goals.
Graphic design:
  • Assist in designing marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics, and web banners.
  • Create and edit digital artwork for branding and promotional purposes.
Photo editing:
  • Retouch and enhance photos using software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Ensure consistency in photo style and quality, following the company's brand guidelines.
Content creation:
  • Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualise and produce engaging multimedia content.
  • Adapt content for various platforms, including print, social media, and websites.
File management:
  • Organise and maintain photo libraries, graphic design assets, and project files.
Required skills and qualifications:

Education:
  • Diploma or degree in graphic design, photography, visual arts, or a related field.
Technical skills:
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom).
  • Knowledge of photo editing and retouching techniques.
  • Familiarity with layout design and typography principles.
Photography:
  • Basic to intermediate skills in photography (portrait, product, or event photography).
  • Ability to set up and manage photography equipment, including cameras, lighting, and backdrops.
Creativity:
  • A strong eye for aesthetics, detail, and composition.
  • Ability to translate creative concepts into engaging visual content.
Key competencies:
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in visual branding.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements.
Experience:
  • One to two years of experience in graphic design and photography.
  • Experience with social media content creation and photo editing preferred.
